Wednesday Night Dead with Organ Fairchild!
There’s no mistaking Organ Fairchild for anyone else on the scene — no bass, no vocals, just three musicians locked into a sound Glide Magazine calls “adventurous, vital and alive.” Since forming in 2020, this organ-trio-meets-rock-band has fused the DNA of Soulive, Medeski Martin & Wood, the Grateful Dead, Steely Dan and the Meters into something entirely their own, earning a reputation as a “fast-rising NY band” (Live For Live Music) that’s “making waves in the scene” (JamBase).
The résumé backs up the hype: a Spotify “Instrumental Funk” feature alongside Herbie Hancock and Cory Wong, official artist status on nugs.net, a studio session with Jorma Kaukonen, and a #1 spot on the Relix/Jambands.com radio charts this past April. They’ve swapped sets with moe., sat in with Tedeschi Trucks Band members and Maggie Rose, and been pulled up on stage mid-show at a sold-out Andy Frasco & U.N. gig. Add main-stage slots at Borderland Festival and a four-set booking at the final Summer Camp Music Festival, and you’ve got a band that keeps getting called up by the artists it grew up idolizing.
